Hey, friends! My name is Shannon Anderson, the founder of Gimmie Lure Co.^TM   My love for bass fishing first began on the St. Johns River in Astor, Florida. The first bait-casting reel I ever bought was a Shimano Bantam 100 that I paid for by cutting grass. From then on, my older brother and I would bass fish for hours in our little flat-bottom wooden boat with a 20 horse-power Mercury. As I grew older, I realized that as a child I was not only learning to catch fish but I was being taught how to catch men as well. My first catch was my best friend Chuck Reiner. He once asked me, “How do I know when I’m saved?” and I replied, “You’ll just know.” Today, we are not just friends, we are brothers through Christ.

After graduating from high school, I moved back to Georgia, the state where I was born. Soon, my dad, who was living in Texas at the time, sent my brother and me some spinnerbaits. I had never fished with this type of lure before, but I decided to give them a try on an old pond in Georgia. I immediately had great success. Ever since that day, I have been hooked on spinnerbaits. More than 25 years later, after selling my ice company of 11 years, I once again embraced my original love of bass fishing and bought out the gentleman who built my very first spinnerbait from all those years ago. And that is how Gimmie Lure Co.^TM was started. It is my deepest hope that all those who buy our products are extremely blessed.
